Homeless Prenatal Program
Holiday Diaper Drive
Our goal is to distribute over 200 packs of diapers & wipes to the Jelani House. We are asking you, our Bay Area community, to make a contribution to either help purchase items that will be donated or to donate unopened packs of diapers and wipes at upcoming events. The need for diapers has more than doubled since the COVID crisis. Homeless families, under-housed families and families at risk of homelessness have become particularly vulnerable during the worldwide pandemic and need our help.
Select 'REDYPER: Giving Thanks' from the dropdown selection.
Your generous donations will provide diapering supplies to families in need this holiday season. Not sure how much to donate?

ABOUT THE HOMELESS PRENATAL PROGRAM & JELANI HOUSE:
Homeless Prenatal Program seeks to break the cycle of family homelessness and poverty by addressing an unmet public health need – prenatal care for women who are pregnant and homeless.
HPP is a nationally-recognized family resource center in San Francisco that empowers homeless and low-income families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to find within themselves the strength and confidence they need to transform their lives. A small passionate organization, founded by Martha Ryan in 1989, went from serving 72 women the first year to 30 years later, helping 3,500 families in the Bay Area. Today, they have evolved into a comprehensive Family Resource Center, providing a full-range of services to young families and homeless women, with the belief that pregnancy is often a window of opportunity for families to work toward health, stability, and self-sufficiency.
After a multi-year planning process, The Jelani House, located in the Bayview District, is now finally open. Jelani House is a transitional housing shelter for pregnant women and postpartum women, providing 24-hour support, as well as assistance with permanent housing.
